• H/Z Pile Wall System

• Extensive combinations of H and Sheet Piles, providing endless options for the engineers to choose from,
• H Piles are supplied with interlocks fitted onto them, reducing cost, the number of connections, and time to fit the connectors,
• Designs can be tailor made to suit the requirements on site: thicker sections for better corrosion protection, drivability on site, etc,
• Can be supplied in both hot and cold rolled depending on clients’ preference and requirement.

Hat Type Sheet Pile + H-Beam Solution

A highly cost effective solution for achieving high section modulus and durability. Hat-Type sheet piles are the widest U-Type hot rolled sheet piles available in the market at 900 mm wide. The large width of and sheet piles allows for higher water tightness due to the decreased number of interlocks, and their location at the outermost part of the sheet pile away from the neutral axis means no reducing in shear strength of the wall.

The H-Beam, a generally low cost steel item available locally makes up the majority of the total weight of the wall system at approximately 2:1. This in turn reduces the overall cost of the system.

Advantages of the Hat-Type Sheet Pile + H-Beam solution are:

• A large number of combinations of beams and sheet piles allow the selection of the most optimum section,
• Can cover section modulus requirements of up to 20,000 cm3/m,
• Beams can be procured from local sources, allowing local content to be used for projects that places emphasis on supporting local production. Add to that the saving in transportation cost and custom duty,
• Cost Effectiveness: 50-70% of the solution is made up of H-Beams, which are significantly cheaper than the sheet piles,
• Wider sheet piles allow for faster installation,
• Ease of fabrication which can take place on site or at a fabrication shop nearby. Welding ratio of 50% is sufficient, where only one pass of 5-6 mm intermittent fillet weld are required,
• Ease of installation: wider sheet piles allow for fewer pieces to be installed, as well as higher stiffness that improve drivability.
• Piles can be supplied up to 30 metres in length without intermediate joints
